En fonctionnement, l'op\u00e9rateur n'a qu'\u00e0 jeter les d\u00e9chets de mousse dans la tr\u00e9mie, et le densificateur de mousse EPS dispose d'un m\u00e9canisme de d\u00e9chiquetage pour \u00e9craser le bloc de mousse. Ensuite, le m\u00e9canisme \u00e0 vis comprime la petite mousse de polystyr\u00e8ne\/polystyr\u00e8ne en un bloc de compression cubique. Il y a un dispositif de r\u00e9gulation de pression \u00e0 l'extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 avant de la section de compression pour ajuster le taux de compression.
